Tower politics

   In our building, there are 5 watchmen. They have gotten the post of watchmen, but they do little to fulfil their responsibilities. They are the silliest watchmen in the whole world!
   They never bother about who enters the building and who doesn't, even though we live in a high rise Tower. They just sit there, chewing paan and ogling at all the girls walking on the road, even if they are wearing a burka, their imagination has no limits!
   They don't even know how to drive, and so our Tower doesn't have valet parking, but still, I wouldn't want to see such goons touch my car.
1 or 2 of them sit together down, while 1 operates the lift from 8 AM to 8 PM, while the rest go around merry making!
   The funniest part is, when the watchmen are most needed, as when they see a car is coming for being parked, they should come to help by moving people out of the way in our crowded road and telling us how much forward we should take our car before stopping it.... every other building's watchman does it only for their building occupants but our watchmen simply disappear!
   When any young lady passes by on the road opposite our building, they will keep staring at her as long as she can possibly be in view. They stare in such a way that the ladies they stare at always notice that and start getting uncomfortable. But when it comes to helping an elderly lady, they run away!
   Our building became a Tower 4 years ago, but 99% of the original tenants gave away their flats on rent and sold it away. So I see new faces every month!
   Our building's first floor was supposed to be a parking lot. This was decided before the building was constructed. But then, it was made into a religious place, where people come to worship and offer prayers. Yet, there are a few boys in our building who disrespect religion and get together to have hookah in that religious place every night! My brother is allergic to that hookah smell and he constantly has a runny nose and headache, but these people just don't care!
   We have a manager in our building, who became one just because he chose to and there was no election even for the manager! He constantly tries to loot all the tenants by writing wrong accounts for their payments, for example, he will make them pay twice for the same 3 month period. He has done this many times and people get really frustrated of him. But since there are no elections and he has made contacts with influential people in the building, no one dares to speak a word against him.
   Once, he even tried to trap an elderly lady who had divorced her husband long ago and so lived alone with her children. He stopped her water supply. When she came down to ask the watchmen why only her water supply was cut, he was standing in a dark corner and calling all his accomplices up. Among those were the boys who used to drink hookah. The lady had earlier complained about the hookah thing but when no one gave heed, she spread the news throughout the building. So the boys already had a grudge against her. She also used to spread news about the narrow mindedness of our manager. So there was a big fight and the lady all alone had to fight a big crowd of narrow minded people who were all giving bad words and arguing with her. Finally, they dragged her to the police but since she was innocent, the police sent them away.
   These watchmen love to stop the water supply of the building whenever possible. They do that whenever they get bored. They are ready to fight for protecting their actions claiming that they are very dutiful, but when it comes to fighting for the right things they should fight as watchmen, they just disappear! I'm in awe seeing how people tolerate them for a month and then give their flats away.
