The fetal membranes include amnion and chorion.
They are formed by folding of the amniotic cavity and extra embryonic coelom as shown in the model. We used to have PCB ( physics, chemistry and biology) as the subjects for our medical entrance examination. In the same manner, ;) , the uterine stroma gets organised into decidua such that they are in the order as seen in the model-PCB, ie, Parietalis, Capsularis and Basalis. XD.
The pictures shown are of models arranged in chronological order.
This blog is about the life of a medical student in Mumbai...I have tried to include many posts which readers will really find useful, interesting and fun to read even if they are not medical students. I have tried to make things as easy to understand as possible, and if anyone happens to have any doubts or issues they can feel free to comment in the post or email me at premedstud@gmail.com. I hope you enjoy going through my blog!
